The National Institute of Optics CNR-INO opens its doors several times during the course of the year to allow the visit to students of secondary and high schools, giving young visitors the opportunity to immerse themselves in the world of a real laboratory, to have an idea of its complexity, to understand how an experimental campaign is structured and what the work of a researcher consists of. During the visit, the researchers of the ILIL laboratory, adapting to the different audience, explain the principles of operation of a laser, the characteristics of the power laser present at ILIL, based on the CPA technique, and its applications also in practical life, for example in the medical field.
