Abstract

In this chapter, the main issues related with the usage of “standard” dosimetric methods for the characterization of laser-driven electron beams will be discussed. In particular, an overview of the main devices used for the characterization of electron beams used in medical applications will be given. The issues possibly arising in the usage of techniques established for conventional accelerators for the dosimetry of ultrashort laser-driven beams will also be given.
